Trinity Lutheran Church in Summerfield is hosting an upcoming ABC of Dementia workshop.
The event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 1-3 p.m. and will be conducted by Debbie Selsavage, President of Coping with Dementia LLC.
During the presentation at the church, located at 17330 U.S. Hwy. 27/441, Selsavage will define Alzheimer’s and dementia, explain how dementia affects individuals, discuss ways to interpret dementia behaviors for better communication and results, and show how compassion and the proper use of voice, approach and appropriate touch can result in more effective and less stressful caregiving.
