A woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop on Buena Vista Boulevard.
Lori Kay Peavy, 36, of Leesburg, had been at the wheel of a black 2008 Dodge Nitro with an inoperable license plate light when she was pulled over shortly before 6 a.m. by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy.
She gave deputies permission to search her vehicle and the search turned up plastic bags with a residue that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to an arrest report.
Peavy was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of drug possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $3,000.
