A man wanted by the FBI in connection with bank robberies in two states struck a Wells Fargo branch in Ocala early Tuesday afternoon.
The bandit, believed to be Myron William Ernst, was last seen driving a dark gray Ford F-150 pickup truck. He is believed to have committed an armed bank robbery in Lakeland on Monday and is wanted by the FBI for a total of seven bank holdups between Florida and Alabama.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Ernst’s arrest.

The Ocala Police Department, which responded to the robbery at the Wells Fargo, located at 3201 SW College Road, shortly after 1:30 p.m., is working in cooperation with the FBI and is requesting assistance in locating Ernst.
Officials warn, however, that Ernst should be considered armed and dangerous. Citizens who might see him should not make contact with him but should immediately call 911 or their local FBI office.
