The principal at Wildwood Elementary School has been elected to lead the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee.
John Temple will take the reins from Villager John Calandro, who was recently named chairman of the Community Development District 6 Board of Supervisors. Calandro will continue to serve as an executive committee member and adviser.
Community Development District 7 Chairman Ron McMahon will serve as vice chair.
