If you have been to a house party or event in The Villages, you may have seen, or smelled, Scott Snyder’s “Papa Pineapples” food truck.

A former MVP Sports Club staff member, Snyder, who now teaches high school students the ins-and-outs of the digital world, rang in the New Year in New York City with his wife, Natalie.

The couple had planned on avoiding the festivities at Times Square, but after receiving a gift of free tickets from a friend, they couldn’t turn down the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The Snyders, who were able to avoid the dreary and overcast experience that most had while waiting for hours outside, were seated smack dab in the middle of a live CNN broadcast from inside the Olive Garden at Times Square.

Better yet, just before the ball dropped, the couple made their way outside to enjoy the final moments and ring in the New Year in true New York City fashion.

“We were inside the whole night and then went outside with about 15 minutes left, so we weren’t cold and wet like everyone else,” said Scott about the experience.
