Charles J. Vesely, Jr. of The Villages passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, after a short illness at the age of 81.
After graduating from Valley Stream Central (NY) High School, Charlie joined the military. He served in the Army and was a member of the Green Beret, Special Forces, Ranger and Airborne Units. He left active duty and served in the NY National Guard until age 65. While serving he received his BA and Masters Degree in Education and went on to enjoy a long career as teacher and then as Dean of Students at Flushing High School. In 2003, he and his wife, Kate, retired to Hawaii where they enjoyed the Hawaiian weather and culture. In 2016, they moved to The Villages, FL to be closer to family.
