To the Editor:
Lift chairs should be available at all pools. We are a senior community, not everyone is in the peak of health! Lift chairs are necessary for handicapped to enjoy a quality of life.
Pool walking is a form of non-stressful exercise that can help some individuals function outside the pool, but you must be able to get in it.
I think federal, handicapped regulations address this issue with each and every remodel and update of a Villages pool.
All you have to do is develop balance and walking issues, or be the spouse of someone that has and you will understand how important all handicapped adaptions are, including lift chairs and postal stations. What seems simple to someone who has not experienced a handicap, is very difficult for those who are.
