Fred W. Croft

Fred W. Croft, age 87, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 02, 2019. He was born in Ithaca, NY on August 13, 1931.

Fred was a 1952 graduate of Ithaca College where he earned a BS degree in Accounting. He served in the US Army where he served with the 1st Infantry Division. Fred worked at Cargill Inc for over 40 years where he retired as the Regional Operations Manager.

He was a member of St Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, FL. Fred was a Boy Scout Leader and Coach for Little League Baseball. He was a former member of the Lansing Community Council. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Marlene Croft; sons Norman, Mark and Brian Croft; nephew Matt Croft; and brother Bruce Croft.

A memorial gathering will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 3-5pm. A funeral mass will take place at St Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, The Villages, FL on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local animal or rescue shelter.
