It’s great to have a president who shares our values

John Shewchuk

Our State of the Union is as great as ever – thanks to President Trump.

He gave a brilliant speech. A home run. And how about those U-S-A chants – from both sides of the aisle. It was a spontaneous show of unity – and patriotism. Trump owned the crowd – especially the Democrats. He knew what would make them stand and applaud, and then make them sit on their hands.  By doing so, he cleverly crafted his speech and exposed their hypocrisies toward motherhood and infants, their lack of respect for veterans, and their morbid lust for socialism. It’s all caught on video and will surely have an impact during the 2020 election.

And then Trump hit the ball out of the stadium with border security as he clearly explained the problems of illegal aliens and presented common sense solutions. Even the snowflakes are slowly melting under the warmth and security of Trump’s immigration policies.  Anyone who locks their doors and windows at night, or even has a home alarm system, fully understands Trump’s fundamental message of border security. Without a secure home, you don’t have a safe family. Without a secure border, you don’t have a safe country. As parents, we want our kids to grow in safe communities so they can become successful citizens and contribute to the greatness of America. It’s great to have a president, and parent, who shares our values.
