Pamela M. Sorokin

Pamela M. Sorokin passed away peacefully at home on February 20th in The Villages, FL. By her side was Elyse Rook, her best friend and companion. She survives her.

Pamela was the daughter of John and Irene Sorokin of Grand Blanc, MI. She was born on August 28th, 1944 and had multiple sclerosis for 53 years. She never let the M.S. win the lifelong battle and fought it to the end as a true warrior.

She was a Social Worker for Grand Blanc Schools in Michigan for many years, along with moonlighting at Nursing Homes as a geriatric S.W. She received her Masters Degree from Michigan State University in S.W. and loved the Green and White MSU Spartans and College Football.

Her survivors include her sister, Janice Jackson, 2 nephews, Wolfe and John Jackson (Amanda), 3 nieces, Abbey Cowen, Emily Cowen, and Katherine Cowen all from Grand Blanc, MI, four great nieces, Eugenia Jackson, Lorea Jackson, Brooke Jackson, and Allison Jackson, and one great nephew, Lowell Jackson.

Two sisters preceded her in death, Lynn Hadden, and Melanie Cowen, one brother in law, John Cowen, also Linnea Jackson, wife of Wolfe Jackson.  Pamela had many friends in Michigan and in Silver Shores, Key Largo, FL.
