Gerald “Jerry” Lowe

Gerald Lowe

Gerald “Jerry” Lowe, 78, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Jerry worked for nearly 40 years as a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company & retired from Indianapolis, IN, to the Villages in 1996 with his wife Kym. He was born October 12, 1940 in Indianapolis. He was the son of Grider & Blanche Lowe, who preceded him in death along with his brother Bobby & sister Rose.

Jerry and Kym were married in Las Vegas on May 20, 1989. Kym survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters Judy Sowers (Bill), & Jan Cantrell (Randy), his daughter Cindy Oakley, of Indianapolis, his daughter & son-in-law Amy and Thomas Errico, of Lehigh Acres, FL, & his step daughter and son-in-law Tina & Jason Carr, of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Ceana Jaramillo (Alex), Brittan Fishgrab (Jason), Kyle & Holly Denton, Kiersey McLaughlin (Patrick), Dominic & Katherine Errico. Jerry also is survived by his great grandchildren; Kayla, Aiden, Taylor, & Tanner.

Jerry was an avid artist, bicyclist, fisherman, golfer, hunter, & reader. He loved Kym’s “homemade” from frozen dough chocolate chip cookies. Jerry’s wry sense of humor & kindness will live on with all who knew him. A true gentleman until the day before he died. He is remembered as happiest when achieving a hole-in-one, of which he earned three. He was funny as hell, if you waited long enough for the punchline. Jerry was well loved & loved his family fiercely.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties, Inc. http://www.havenlakesumter.org. Jerry, together with Kym, supported the Haven & it’s causes for many years.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11am located at Hiers-Baxley Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162.
