To the Editor:
I am often reminded by “posters” to this site that America is a “Christian” nation which, by no stretch of the imagination, is the truth.
Just as is true for most “demographics” of the nation, there is great deal of diversification based upon religion from Catholic to Protestant to Jewish to Hindu to B’Hai to Islam and the list goes on, including Atheist. Yet, the “Christians” out there (ie, in TV at least) continue to claim a monopoly upon their status. But I would also contend that the last two plus years of the Trump administration have proven that The Golden Calf in the White House has been determined to create his own alternate universe. I would first suggest that those so-called “Christians” who continue to grovel at the feet of The Donald take the time to re-read Chapter 1 of Genesis.
When God created the universe and the world we inhabit with all of its life forms, animal, vegetable and mineral, two mistakes were made. First, he didn’t say that “Mexico will pay for it!”; and He compounded His error by granting human beings free will. As a result, The Donald has spent the last two plus years in a futile effort to undo everything that God created. What with the slavish adoration of The Donald reflected every day on this site by so many of his so-called “Christian” admirers, I fear we may have reached the point that the “Anti-Christ”, as predicted in the Bible, has appeared and his name is Donald J. Trump. And he has obviously mesmerized so many “Christians” to accept his mis-guided and ill-advised Articles of Faith. He makes a mockery of anything remotely related to the true nature and humanity of a “Christian” as admonished by Jesus Christ in His sermon on the mount. For any of those so-called “Christians”, there is still time to repent and save your own souls. Otherwise, you are as doomed as is The Donald.
