90-year-old Villager’s car seized after minor accident in fast-food drive-up lane

A 90-year-old Villager’s car was seized after a minor accident in a fast-food drive-up lane in The Villages.

Jeanne Carolyn Hicks of the Village, of the Village of Del Mar, had been at the wheel of her red 2015 Chevrolet Malibu at 5:20 p.m. March 23 at Taco Bell on Bichara Boulevard when her front bumper “tapped” the rear of the vehicle in front of her, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A check revealed Hicks’ license had been suspended in October for failure to respond to a citation that had been issued July 1. A seize tag order had also been issued. Kling Towing took Hicks’ vehicle to the company’s impound yard.

Hicks’ license plate and driver’s license were both seized.

She will have to appear April 10 before Judge Cary Rada in Lake County Court.
