The Villages Entertainment Department’s marketing manager reported a theft at Spanish Springs Town Square.
Michael Thomas Owen, 67, who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages, had parked a white 2007 Chevrolet Express van behind the Villages Entertainment Department Office at 970 Del Mar Drive, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The van had been parked there March 17 to 19. He noticed the license plate was missing from the van and reported it to police on March 22.
The screws that would have attached the license plate to the van were missing, the report indicated.
