Sumter County Commission elections controlled by oldest trick in the book

To the Editor:

Sumter County Commissioners are currently elected At-Large. This means each county commissioner is elected by electors residing in all five districts. Congress has banned At-Large voting for all federal elections. Yet it’s still used as the oldest trick in the book!
Single-Member districts provides you a Commissioner who must now be focused on your Main Street, not everyone’s Main Street. Single-Member gives power to the voter, and places limiting powers onto a run-away government.
If a special referendum were placed on the 2020 ballot, would you support a return of SINGLE-MEMBER DISTRICT VOTING? Yes / No
