The event, which started at 10 a.m. and was presented by the DAR Lake-Sumter Regents Council, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

DiNome, who also performed alongside his daughter, Dawn, was presented with a Community Service Award for the work he and his band do on patriotic events.

He is a staple at Villages Honor Flight homecoming events and also performed this past August at a Villagers for Veterans event that was raising money to build a home on the Historic Side of The Villages for disabled Army Sgt. Pam Kelly, as well as at a Blue Brothers tribute showcase in February 2018 for Operation Homebound.
