Evan J. Williams

Evan Williams

Evan J. Williams (aka Pudge) passed away peacefully on Thursday June 13th with his beloved wife Patricia O’Callahan Williams and dear friends, Mary and Peter Vincelli by his side.

Pudge was an avid and talented athlete, particularly in racquet sports, war veteran, devoted husband, loyal friend and beloved uncle, who always gave generously to others and various charities in his quiet and humble manner. He was a devout catholic who attended church daily and was very proud of his Irish heritage. He found most of his joy however, spending over 70 years of marriage with his beloved and devoted wife, Pat.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but family and friends are comforted by their fond memories of Pudge, knowing he is reunited with his life-long friend Joe Worst and the many family members and friends who preceded him into heaven.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages from 2 -4; 5-8 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 8:30 AM.  Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
