A vending machine was pried open at Paradise Recreation Center.
An employee of Kindred Spirits, the company responsible for stocking the vending machines, contacted Lady Lake Police on June 12 after discovering the machine had been damaged.
Someone drilled out the rivets on the metal trim on the right side of the Pepsi machine in an attempt to gain entry. The metal trim was removed entirely and not left at the scene. There were pry marks on the frame of the machine where it appeared some sort of tool was used. Damage to the machine was estimated at $500.
The vending machine in question is located at the southwest side of the restrooms near the tennis courts.
