Historic Side of The Villages has no voice on Architectural Review Committee

The Historic Side of The Villages still has no representation on the Architectural Review Committee after the recent resignations of its primary and alternate representatives.

Paul Hannan

Villager Judy Glasel, who had been serving as the ARC alternate, was elevated in February to the primary position following the resignation of longtime ARC member Paul Hannan. Glasel then abruptly resigned in March.

Despite consistent advertising by the District Office, no candidates have stepped forward to fill the vacancies for primary and alternate representatives.

Other alternate members of the ARC have been temporarily occupying the Lady Lake/Lake County seat, but the Historic Side does not have a voice of one of its own.

The latest quest for applicants is scheduled to end July 15.

The ARC meets each Wednesday morning for about four hours.

The mission of the ARC “is to maintain the high quality and consistency of the aesthetics and design of the residences and home sites found throughout The Villages.”

Those interested in applying may complete the form at this link: ARC Application Lady Lake:Lake County

The completed application may be returned to the Community Standards Department, 984 Old Mill Run, The Villages.
