Two people were arrested after a trip Sunday morning to the emergency room at The Villages Regional Hospital.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called to the hospital’s ER waiting room, where they found 26-year-old Nicole Lynn Hamilton, of Weirsdale. She initially lied about her identity, but deputies were able to confirm who she was and found that she is on probation in Marion County on a methamphetamine possession charge. A search of her purse turned up several blue pills determined to be Clonazepam.
Her companion, 45-year-old Steven Ray Roberts, also of Weirsdale, was wanted on a Sumter County warrant charging him with petit theft, resisting a merchant and battery.
Both were taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
