A Summerfield man found himself behind bars Monday night after he was caught trespassing again at an area minimart.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy spotted 58-year-old Billy J. Danner at the Kwik King, located at 3630 SE Hwy. 484, shortly after 7 p.m. The deputy had dealt with Danner in the past and knew that he was trespassed from the minimart, a sheriff’s office report states.
A computer check showed that Danner was originally issued a trespass warning from the store on Feb. 11, 2014. He also has been arrested five times for trespassing at the location – Nov. 12, 2014; May 22, 2015; June 7, 2015; Oct. 10, 2016 and Sept. 2, 2017 – the report says.
Danner, who listed his address as 12960 SE 140th Ln. in Summerfield, was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he’s been housed 14 times on a litany of charges since May of 2001. In Monday’s incident – he also was arrested March 3 for trespassing – Danner was charged with trespassing on property after being warned. He was being held on $500 bond and is due in court Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. to answer to the charge.
