Wildwood’s annual BBQ, Badges & Brass event has been postponed.
The event, which will feature a barbecue cook-off challenge, has been delayed until Saturday, Dec. 14 because of a scheduling conflict. It originally was set for Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Wildwood Community Center at 6500 Powell Road.
Those attending the event in December will be able to purchase BBQ challenge armbands for $5 or a family pack of four for $15. Participants will be able to sample the barbecue and vote for the winner.
Wildwood city and public safety officials will participate, as will their counterparts from Sumter County. Music, games, activities, inflatables and face painting will be provided at no charge, as will parking at the community center.
