Albert “Al” Carriera

Albert “Al” Carriera passed away peacefully under the care of Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL on July 26, 2019. He will be missed dearly.

Al was born on June 20, 1937 in Stamford, CT to his parents, Joseph and Genevieve Carriera. He and his wife lived in Greenwich, CT and Venice, FL before ending up in The Villages, FL in 2013.

Al is survived by his loving wife Virginia of 44 years; sons, Christopher Carriera and Joseph Carriera; step daughter, Suzanne (Danny) Gabriele; brother, Gerard (Karen) Carriera; sister, Paula Andrewson; eleven grandchildren and son-in-law Rocco Cuscuna; sister-in-laws, Annmarie (Art) Farascioni and Connie (John) Russo. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter Nicole Cuscuna and a brother-in-law Stephen Andrewson.

A Memorial mass will be held on August 13, 2019 at 11 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, FL. Following the Mass a Celebration of his Life will be held at the Savannah Center in The Villages. The family is asking that there be no flowers sent.
