Joseph Michaud

Joseph “Roger” Michaud, 82 of The Villages, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2019 in Summerfield, Florida. Roger was born on December 23, 1936 to Rene and Leona (Toussaint) Michaud in Madawaska, Maine. Roger married the love of his life Aline M. Gagnon in a hurricane on July 30, 1960 in New Britain, Connecticut.

Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Roger worked at Pratt and Whitney as a quality control supervisor until his retirement in 1991. Roger loved his family and friends, he was always up for a game of cards. He also loved to go bowling and play golf.

Roger is survived by his wife of 59 years, Aline Michaud of The Villages, son Paul Roger Michaud and wife Suzanne of Manchester, Connecticut, sisters Rena Michaud, Patricia Vachon, Dorothy Corbett, and three Grandchildren Jeffrey, Brian and Amy.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg on Tuesday August 20th at 8:30 AM followed by private inurnment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summerfield Suites Assisted Living 17421 SE 109th Terrace Rd #109, Summerfield, FL 3449.
