An Oxford man was arrested after allegedly spraying a woman with starter fluid.
Robert Daniel Terry, 43, is facing a charge of battery following his arrest Monday night after the altercation with the woman at a Circle K in Bushnell.
The woman told Sumter County sheriff’s deputies that Terry had repeatedly sprayed her with automotive starter fluid, hitting her in the face, chest, stomach, arms and legs.
Terry admitted they had been arguing over money, but said he sprayed her by accident.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $4,000 bond.
Terry had been arrested earlier this year in a drug raid at a house in Webster.
