Harold wouldn’t be happy about what’s going on with Hacienda Hills Country Club

To the Editor:

I have been living in The Villages for 21 years, and was always under the impression that there must be a country club at all championship golf courses.
A country club being defined as a restaurant and cocktail lounge where residents and visitors could enjoy eating, having adult beverages and/or spending time after playing golf, or simply enjoying cocktails, lunch or dinner at their leisure.
This is the way I would like to see Hacienda Hills Country Club remain. We have plenty of recreation areas already, and more coming. Our original founder, Mr. Harold Schwartz, would not be happy with the proposed plan.
