Seniors vs. Crime is preparing to reopen its office in Brownwood.
The office, located in the Wildwood Police Department Annex at 2722 Brownwood Ave., next to the Barnstorm Theater, will open its doors on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and then be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Seniors vs. Crime originally moved into the Brownwood office in October 2013 but had been forced to temporarily vacate the location after a fire heavily damaged the Wildwood Police headquarters building on Huey Street in October 2018. That caused a need for the space at the Brownwood office to house officers and left Seniors vs. Crime temporarily in limbo before the group moved into the Moyer Recreation Center with the agency’s Fruitland Park contingent.
Those wishing to contact the Wildwood office can call (352) 753-0727 or send an email to [email protected]. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary.
The Wildwood office will accept complaints from anyone in Sumter County, but particularly residents of Wildwood to include the Villages of Fenney, DeSoto, Linden, McClure, Marsh Bend, Monarch Grove and the surrounding areas.
