Charles Eugene Hill

Charles Eugene Hill, 88, of Wildwood, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Mr. Hill was born July 17, 1931 in Wildwood to Willie Charles and Ada Lena (Driggers) Hill. Gene is a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He retired as a conductor from CSX after 42 years and 8 months of service. Gene is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood, Wildwood Masonic Lodge and life members of both the American Legion and VFW in Wildwood. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his children, Harrison & Angie Hill of Oxford, Sissy & Tony Hayes of Wildwood and Oren & Rhonda Hill of Wildwood, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife, Harriette on July 10, 2019 and siblings, Lamar Hill, Irene Echols and Janette Coleman.

Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with Military Honors.
