Two more golf courses in The Villages closed for ‘water dumping’

Two more executive golf courses in The Villages have been closed for “water dumping.”

Irrigation has been running at a number of executive and championship golf courses in The Villages in an effort to bring down the water levels at the retention ponds.

It has been announced that the El Santiago Executive Golf Course and the Pimlico Executive Golf Course have been closed for water dumping.

Other courses which have been closed are:

  • Mira Mesa
  • Heron
  • Pelican
  • Volusia
  • Oakleigh
  • Sweet Gum
  • Mangrove
  • Palmetto
  • Turtle Mound
  • Sandhill
  • Amberwood
  • Hilltop
  • Silver Lake

The championship closures include:
• Orange Blossom Hills County Club
• Evans Prairie Country Club
• Cane Garden Hibiscus
• Mallory Amelia
• Belle Glade Country Club
• Bonifay Fort Walton
