Joan Bucell

Joan Eva Bucell, age 84, of Lady Lake, formerly of American House and The Villages, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was born in New York City, NY on September 17, 1934. Joan was an active member of Fairway Christian Church who loved arts and crafts. She loved God, people and a good joke.

Survivors include son Ron Bucell (Natalia); daughter Nancy Lee Schwarzhoff (Dan); grandchildren Daniel, Kristen, Michael and Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Lee” Bucell who passed away on November 10, 2016 and her parents Emmanuel and Nancy Berk.

A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159 on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2-4 pm with a service at 4pm, reception to follow. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25A, Leesburg, FL 34748 on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairway Christian Church (www.fairwaycc.org).
