Ronald Manuel Bloch

Ronald Manuel Bloch, age 69, of The Villages, Florida passed away at his home on Thursday, August 29, 2019.

He was born in the Bronx and raised in Yonkers, New York. He was a graduate of Iona College for both a Bachelors in Political Science and Master’s Degrees in Accounting and Education. Ron was proud of the Accounting Firm he co-founded and operated until moving to Florida. He moved to The Villages in 2012 and pursued his passion of teaching where he subsequently became the Principal at The Holy Trinity Episcopal School in Fruitland Park. He enjoyed playing golf, crossword puzzles, and was a passionate New York Mets fan.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Ellen Bloch (nee Donaldson); sons Michael William Bloch (wife Alanna DiSanzo) and Christopher Howard Bloch (wife Bethany Larson); siblings Yvonne Bloch-Lugo (husband Eugene) and Rene Bloch (wife Kim); grandchildren Ryan Anthony and Makayla Rose.

He is preceded in death by his parents Hella (Leyser) and Michael Bloch.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 3-5 pm with a prayer service at 4 pm, located at Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11 am, located at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5323 East County Road 462, Wildwood, FL 34785. Inurnment at Highland Memorial Park will be private.
