Villager Marina Woolcock is preparing to play a special role at the upcoming National Federation of Republican Women convention in Indianapolis.
As president of the Republican Federated Women of The Villages, she will serve as a delegate at the convention, where women from across the country will come together to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment and prepare to secure grassroots victories in upcoming elections.
Kayleigh McEnany, who serves as national press secretary for President Trump’s re-election campaign, will be the keynote speaker at the biennial convention’s Reagan Award Luncheon. Woolcock said she’s hoping the Villages club will be recognized for the work it did in 2018 to help elect Republicans.
Other speakers at the convention will include Ronna McDaniel, National Republican chairwoman; Rebecca Kleefisch, executive director of the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission; and many other notable female leaders.
“I am looking forward to the event,” Woolcock said. “Together, members will be reminded of the women whose shoulders we stand on, who 100 years ago fought for the right to vote. We will empower women to excel (and) win the upcoming elections from ‘The School House to The White House.’”
