Controversial Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro won’t be coming to The Villages on Sunday – and questions have been raised about getting refunds for the event.
Trump Team 2020 Florida announced this week that Pirro’s visit, which was planned for Sunday at the SeaBreeze Recreation Center, has been canceled due to “unforeseen” circumstances.
“We are pleased to offer refunds or you may leave your contribution towards a future event,” said an email from the group’s president, Annie Marie Delgado, that was sent to those who purchased tickets to the sold-out event.
The e-mail contains a phone number that goes directly to a voicemail. It also includes a link to contact Eventbrite, which handled ticket sales for the event. That link takes ticketholders to a “Contact the Organizer” screen that offers frequently asked questions – which includes a tab about refunds – but also says there are no refunds, which has caused concern among those who purchased tickets.
But Suzanne Days, president of the Sumter County chapter of Trump Team 2020, said Tuesday that those wishing to receive refunds need to contact Delgado at trumpteam2020Fl@gmail.com. She added that the event was canceled because Pirro “had something come up.”
Ticket prices for the upcoming event were $30 (general admission), $50 (VIP) and $500 (Gold). General admission tickets were to include an autographed copy of Pirro’s book, while VIP ticketholders were supposed to get a photograph taken with her. Gold ticket holders were going to participate in a 15-minute roundtable discussion with Pirro, which was limited to 10 people. And all attendees were to receive a free membership to the Trump Team 2020 Sumter County Chapter for the rest of the year.
