The evolution of our modern day social media helped create and elect Donald Trump.  Beginning with his television role in the Miss Universe pageants, and later “The Apprentice,” made him famous and gave him instant house-hold celebrity status. And you know how much Hollywood just loves celebrities.  Not only was he cute and cuddle-able, but he was also smart and wealthy.  The media couldn’t get enough of him.  He was on the hot list with Saturday Night Live, Larry King Live, Charlie Rose, Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Today show, The View, Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and many others.

He appeared in 13 movies, including the 1992 film “Home Alone 2” and the 1996 film “Eddie” (with Whoopi Goldberg).  These films along with numerous live TV appearances gave him a likable and honorable persona years before entering politics.  His credibility was further enhanced following serious political discussions on the Larry King and Oprah Winfrey shows where his views and opinions were earnestly sought and discussed.  The media was fascinated with him.  Even though he had both liberal and conservative views — he was like a magnet to them all.

But then he ran for president — as a Republican.  He was the same lovable New Yorker, but overnight he became the enemy for two reasons.  He couldn’t be bought and he fully intended to keep his promises.  Even though previous politicians have always espoused these principles, they feared Trump could actually be a man of his word.  Worse yet, he was going to expose the hypocrisies of the swamp.

The result … the American public loved it … and he easily won the election.  He said exactly what Americans wanted to hear.  America first — with jobs, security, and law & order.  America was tired of failed promises.  We all know words don’t make a man — accomplishments do.  We all know we hire folks based on their resume — not their promises — and Trump’s resume is out of this world.  And how about the new Democrat contenders … just exactly where are their résumés?  Crickets!

As Trump continues to keep and exceed his promises, his support grows.  His support even grows internationally as other countries are following his leadership style by stopping the downward slope of socialism while exposing the failed policies — like the junk science of climate change.

No matter how many ugly words Democrats try to pin on Donald, his accomplishments will win the day.  So, let’s put Robert Mueller on a postage stamp to remind everyone how he single-handily vindicated President Trump.  And as we near the 2020 election, no matter what new and fanciful fake accusations they come up with for their “October surprise,” Donald has yet to use his winning trump card — those yet unreleased files about those who participated in an attempted coup d’état of our government.

For those who cheer at all those liberally padded polls, just remember what happened in 2016.  And for those who actually quote NBC/WSJ polls … remember NBC had VIP access to the Obama White House … and don’t forget that just 3 weeks prior the 2016 election — an NBC/WSJ poll had Hillary up 11 points over Mr. Trump.  So déjà vu 2020.
