An Ocala woman who was sitting in a running vehicle on the side of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Summerfield after apparently vomiting on her car door was arrested early Sunday morning.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy came upon the vehicle driven by 50-year-old Christina Marie Camp, which was parked on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 not far from SE Hwy. 42. The sheriff’s deputy reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and noted that Camp’s speech was “slow and slurred.”
Camp agreed to participate in field sobriety tests and failed all three. She was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she provided breath samples showing .117 and .103 blood alcohol content, the report says.
Camp was charged with driving under the influence and released early Monday morning on $1,000 bond. Her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
