Lady Lake man’s bond revoked after illicit withdrawal from ATM

Ryan Roberts

A Lady Lake man has been arrested after an illicit withdrawal earlier this year from an ATM.

The owner of Outdoor Expressions Inc. in Eustis contacted law enforcement in March after noticing a $403 withdrawal at a TD Bank ATM, also in Eustis, according to an arrest report from the Eustis Police Department. The business owner said her son, who also works for the business, had lost his company credit card and she had ascertained he did not make the withdrawal.

A detective obtained an image from video surveillance at the bank and posted it on the Eustis Police Department Facebook page. The detective received a tip identifying the man at the ATM as 29-year-old Ryan Thomas Roberts, of Lady Lake.

Roberts was arrested Sunday on warrants charging him with fraudulent use of a credit card and grand theft.

In addition, his bond has been revoked from a 2018 arrest on a charge of driving under the influence causing great bodily injury. In that case, he crashed into a power pole and a female passenger in the vehicle he had been driving had to be extricated from the wreckage. Both she and Roberts were airlifted from the scene.
