Woman arrested with syringes full of meth after leaving Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza

Sunni Marie Hogan

A woman was arrested with syringes full of methamphetamine after leaving Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

Sunni Marie Hogan, 31, of Ocala, at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday was driving a Dodge pickup truck when she made a left turn out of the Wal-Mart parking lot as a deputy noticed the vehicle had a faintly illuminated headlight and a broken taillight. A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of County Road 466 and U.S. 301.

A K-9 unit responded to the scene and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. There were “several purses” in the truck, the arrest report indicated. Syringes loaded with methamphetamine were found in the purses.

Hogan was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug equipment. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $3,000.
