A woman’s license plate was seized at RaceTrac on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake over an unpaid parking ticket.
Shirley Ann Pollard, 54, of Leesburg, had been driving a white 1991 Chevy pickup at 8:45 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at County Road 25 when a check of her license plate revealed there was a seize tag order for the registered owner of the vehicle who had a suspended license, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Pollard told the police officer she had a parking ticket she had never paid. Her license had been suspended Aug. 29.
Her driver’s license was seized, as well as her license plate, and her truck was towed from the scene.
She has been ordered to appear Oct. 22 in Lake County Court.
