A motorcyclist was injured in a rear-end collision on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.
The crash occurred at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday in front of Lady Lake Town Hall and the Texas Roadhouse restaurant when 52-year-old Christopher Vincent Vantine’s red Ducati struck the rear end of a white 2011 Toyota four-door sedan driven by 33-year-old Elizabeth Noel Clinton, of Leesburg, according to a preliminary accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Vantine was transported by Lake EMS ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital, having suffered non-life threatening injuries, including serious road rash.
A witness told police the motorcycle had been weaving in and out of traffic.
He was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene by Kling Towing.
