Marion County sheriff’s deputies are on the lookout for thieves who hit the Summerfield Wal-Mart on Thursday.
A sheriff’s deputy was called to the store, located at 17961 S U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and when he arrived, a loss prevention officer said a black male and female had entered the store and selected a television valued at $118 and a Luvabella toy bear valued at $58.
The loss prevention officer said the woman first tried to return the items and when that didn’t work, she took them and left the store without paying for the merchandise, a sheriff’s office report states.
The deputy said he would stop by the store on his next shift to see if video surveillance footage of the incident was available.
