Villages Hometown Band will offer 85-piece band concert at Savannah Center

The Villages Hometown Band will offer an 85-piece band concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at Savannah Center.

The show will feature an eclectic mix of music from the sultry jazz of “Harlem Nocturne” to the raucous percussion of “Spike Jones.”

The band will “Tiptoe Thru The Tubas” and “Slippery Slide Rag” with the trombones. All Navy veterans will want to hear the first live performance of a terrific arrangement of the full “Anchors Aweigh March.” The band will also perform John Philip Sousa’s favorite encore, “The Roosters Lay Eggs in Kansas.”

Tickets are available online and at The Villages Box Offices.
