The Lake County United Motorcyclist Association is gearing up for its 16th Annual Toy Run in Leesburg.

The event, which will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, benefits the Salvation Army and Foster Families of Lake & Sumter Counties. Motorcyclists who want to participate can sign up at the Leesburg Wal-Mart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., from 9-10:30 a.m. that morning.
The ride, which will be escorted by deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, will depart from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 11 a.m. and head to Gator Harley-Davidson on U.S. Hwy. 441.

The cost to participate in the American Motorcycle Association-sanctioned run is $10 per participant plus one new unwrapped toy. The event will last from noon-4 p.m. at Gator Harley with live entertainment provided by Pete Hunt and the Southern Branded Band. It also will include food vendors, a cash bar, complimentary beer, a 50/50 drawing, raffles, a large-scale tent sale and various merchandise vendors.
