A Village of Sabal Chase couple’s grandson is being lauded for his performance on a Florida high school football field.
Luke Cohn, who is the grandson of the extremely proud Melinda and Jay Kaplan, plays quarterback at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park and recently broke the school’s records for passing yardage and touchdowns.
All told, Cohn threw more than 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns in 10 games. The senior also is one of only two quarterbacks in Florida to throw for more than 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns this season.
Cohn was named as one of the two quarterbacks for the East Squad for the Central Florida All Star Football Game. The game will be played at Lake Brantley High School in Longwood on Thursday, Dec. 12.
