To the Editor:
The recently announced increase in the greens fees on the championship courses is just another example of Mark Morse’s profit motivated decision making process. If you think that writing letters of complaint to the Villages-News.com will have a positive impact, think again. Morse only cares about profits.
For years, Palmer Legends was the highest priced championship course in The Villages. Many people refused to play Palmer because of the cost. As a result, Morse’s revenue decreased. Finally the greens fees were lowered and play increased. If you want to make an impact on his latest profit-seeking decision, boycott the championship courses. Play golf outside The Villages. If enough people do this, it might have an impact on Morse’s bottom line and maybe it will cause him to rethink his position on the greens fee structure.
