Was it necessary to call the police?

To the Editor:

Regarding the news report of the woman arrested at SeaBreeze for DUI. When the woman was in her car trying to start it, would it had been nice if the Neighborhood Watch would have tried to call someone (family, neighbor, or taxi) to take her home; instead of calling the police?
