John “Jack” Parker

John Parker

John “Jack” Parker, 82 of The Villages, Florida passed away on March 29, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, Florida.

Jack was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 9, 1938 he was the son of Edmund and Anna Parker. He graduated Mission Church High School in 1955 Bentley Business School in Boston 1966 and served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1965 as a Medic.

He was employed by General Electric for over 36 years as a credit manager retiring in 1994 and promptly moved to the “good life” in The Villages. Jack’s favorite past times were his love of Pickle Ball and card playing for “money only” of course. He was a member St. Timothy’s Catholic Church of Lady Lake, Florida.

Jack is predeceased in death by his parents Edmund and Anna Parker, his brothers Thomas Parker and Reverend Edmund Parker. Jack is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife Kathleen “Kathy” of 60 years, his daughter Linda (Joe) Parker of Florida, his son Stephen Parker of Georgia and Granddaughter Regan Parker of Georgia.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church for Immediate Family only.

His remains will be interred at Florida National Cemetery. A Full Military Funeral will be scheduled late in 2020. A gathering of celebration for the “Chula Vista Pickleball Squad” and his many friends will take place later in 2020.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St Vincent DePaul Society-St Timothy’s Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake Florida 32159 and Cornerstone Hospice 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, Florida 32162.
