A woman was jailed in an alleged attack on her disabled boyfriend during a dispute over pizza.
Wildwood police were called Thursday to a home on Edgewater Way at Lakeside Landings in Oxford where 44-year-old Alicia Dawn Hoffman was arrested on a felony charge of abuse of a disabled adult.
A 30-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy said that he and Hoffman were arguing about ordering a pizza and who would pay for it, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He said Hoffman slapped him in the face. Police found red marks on the man’s face.
He said he and Hoffman have been in an intimate, sexual relationship for four months.
Hoffman admitted she had slapped him, but claimed she did so after he called her a racist.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $1,000 bond.
