Emergency personnel were called to a restaurant at a town square in The Villages where an unresponsive woman was discovered by a customer.
The woman, identified as 44-year-old Trina Jackson of Leesburg, was found at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday laying outside of Gator’s Dockside at Spanish Springs Town Square, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A manager at the restaurant contacted emergency personnel.
Jackson appeared to be intoxicated and was belligerent. She began using obscene language toward police officers and EMS. She tried to hit the officers who were attempting to assist her. When an officer attempted to take her to the ground, Jackson’s face hit a pillar outside the restaurant causing an abrasion to her nose.
The officers were able to assist EMS in buckling and strapping her to a stretcher. She was taken by ambulance to UF Health The Villages Hospital.
Jackson was issued a notice to appear in court to answer to a charge of disorderly conduct. She is set to appear May 27 in Lake County Court.
