Sylvia Perrien

Sylvia Perrien passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

Sylvia met her husband Dennis at high school in 1962 and got married in 1967 after Dennis last year of college. They traveled extensively due to Dennis profession with ExxoMobil. They lived out of the US for 18 years in Venezuela, England, Norway and Malaysia. Returned to US in 1996 and retired in The Villages in 2003.

Sylvia enjoyed gardening, painting, crocheting and especially events with her family and friends. Her primary pleasure was raising our two children and that pleasure was followed by her pleasure for traveling as we were fortunate enough to live in and visit many countries. She was a friendly person and got along well with everyone. Since 2016 Sylvia was hampered by many medical issues spending over 550 days in hospitals and rehab facilities, but she maintained an excellent jovial attitude throughout all these problems comforted by the wonderful life that preceded this period. She passed peacefully May 26 at the age of 73 with family members at her side.

Sylvia is survived by her husband Dennis Perrien, sons Kerry and Ashley Perrien, sister Linda Lee Ard and granddaughter, Annalese. Primary deceased family members include her Mother & Father Lucille & Gilbert Hopel and brother, Dennis Hopel.

A gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 2:00 Pm to 4:00 PM at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159.
