A Villager has replaced the illicit Playful Pink trim at her home and she got the job done thanks to an angel.

Rosemarie Pietromonaco, who lives on Westchester Way in the Village of Poinciana, last month pleaded before the Community Development District 5 Board of Supervisors to keep the color which does not conform to the official color palette. She was ordered to repaint the trim with an approved color. Pietromonaco, relying on a crutch, left the meeting at the Savannah Center, wondering how she would complete the task.

Rosemarie Pietromonaco points to the difference in Playful Pink and Auburn Glaze on the trim at her home.

“I went home and tried to figure how I could get it done,” she said.

The day after losing the appeal, Pietromonaco received a phone call from Investment Painting Contractors, who had read about her plight in Villages-News.com. The owner offered to repaint the trim, for free.

Playful Pink has been replaced with Auburn Glaze.
The home is located in the Village of Poinciana.

“They were wonderful,” said the 20-year resident of The Villages.

She selected the color Auburn Glaze, which is two shades darker than Playful Pink.

Her home has been quite the drive-by attraction since the eruption of the controversy over Playful Pink.

Pietromonaco said she has contacted Community Standards to ensure that the color meets the requirement. She is waiting for confirmation.
